Who’s In? (Post-Championship Weekend Rankings)

Nov 25, 2018, 3:26 PM

1. Alabama. 2. Clemson. 3. Notre Dame. 4. Ohio State.

Alabama and Clemson take care of business and head into the playoff undefeated. Ohio State boatraces Northwestern while OU struggles with Texas.

Bama shuts down the dink and dunk offense of Ohio State while lighting up the OSU back-seven. We squeak by ND in the semis setting up the inevitable final showdown for all the marbles.

That would be beautiful. We can easily handle ND.

OU has better resume than Ohio State....

Nov 25, 2018, 5:16 PM

If they beat Texas, they’ll have 4 wins over currently ranked teams (using new AP poll)...with 1 loss to a ranked team.
Ohio St would have three with a win over Northwestern....but with one really bad loss.
Seems to me that OU has the advantage.

The problem with stats is that they don’t matter

Nov 25, 2018, 10:10 PM

if the committee can pop OSU in there as a better overall team while trashing OU’s defense. I think OU would be more deserving but I didn’t think Bama was more deserving than OSU last year and look where that ended up going.

If the committee has OU ahead of OSU on Tuesday. What would change their mind if both win their conference championship game?

The committee had them at 10 so I don’t think they are worthy of jumping to 5 based on one game. They really have no other eye popping results to fall back on.

I think OSU is 6 and jumps to 4 after next weekend. I really don’t want to be right because I hate the idea of a team essentially coasting all season solely based on superior talent.

Update #1: Everything on track

Nov 28, 2018, 1:14 AM

I think somehow lost in the shuffle is the rivalry with UT/OU. It’s not as if OU is trying to avenge a loss to some other random Big 12 team. You can bet Tom Herman will do whatever he has to in order to beat OU again -or at least have a competitive game this weekend.

Know this won't happen, nut I'd like to see
1. Bamma over UGA - UGA gone
2. NW over O-31-0 State - Ohio State gone
3. Texas over OKie U - Oklahoma gone

Move UCF into number 4 spot and show them how good they are(NOT), when Bama trucks them. We take care of ND and it's US/Bama round 4
