The first was generously scored a hit last inning and didn't cost us.
Top of 4th cost us two runs so far. Can't play sloppy and beat this crowd!!!

Byrd has been terrible in the field this year. He already has 11 errors, and benefited from some generous scoring or he would have some more. His fielding percentage is terrible for a college fielder.

It’s unfortunate because he has to play 3rd. Theres no other place in the lineup for him with Hawkins at 1st.

Is our best option, even though he just made a poor throw to first (didn't cost us).
But his hitting is slumping near the .200 level.

It crossed my mind because he’s played there before. If he played there you’d either have to bench Greene or put Greene in LF and Hall at 3rd. Unless Greene can play 3rd but I don’t think so

When Kier comes back, he'll probably go to LF and Hall will come to 3B . . . Byrd and Hawkins will split time at first and DH . . . This is all a fat boy thinking out loud . . . blah blah blah blah blah

you can scratch splitting time with byrd and Hawkins at first and DH because Davis sharpe has to dh.
If you want byrd off of third base you have to put him in at second, Sam Hall at third and open up the outfield for any freshman that monte wants to throw out there like he has all year

Should never happen without putting the ball in play.
You can't pull an outside curve ball . . . It must be hit to the opposite field.
Yes, this game is frustrating me so far!

Nice substitution by Monte to bring Weatherly in to face DH/Cleanup hitter . . . Weatherly made him look incompetent.
Weatherly' slider is nasty . . . Fastball in the low 90's . . . Good looking arm!!!!!!!
