In answer to your question earlier today, the ACC is paid roughly $275,000 for each game that an ACC team plays in in the NCAA basketball tournament. Take the total number of games that an ACC team appeared in and multiply that by $275,000. Then divide that number by 15 which is the number of teams in the ACC. That result is Clemson’s Cut from the tournament.

Note: If two ACC teams play each other, the conference gets $550,000 for that game.
