that he received in excess of $180,000 from Auburn boosters but the NCAA, in their infinite wisdom, determined that since Scam knew nothing of the payments (which is an absolute lie), there was no violation on his part and, therefore, he would remain eligible (a blatant contradiction of their own rules).
This relevant precedent by the NCAA coupled with the fact that he's at Duke, a college basketball blueblood, pretty much assures that Zion won't be punished regardless of what some investigation may uncover.

the NCAA is more corrupt than the FBI and the IRS combined. And that's saying something.
The NCAA will not prosecute any wrongdoing that will slow down the huge television advertising revenue of any major sport. They're paid off. It's obvious.

He was the biggest high school basketball recruit since Lebron James in terms of his exposure. The NCAA is never going to make him sit, too much money to be made. Honestly if they acted on all the FBI stuff in any significant way we might win the championship because there wouldn't really be anybody left.

The NCAA knows what's going-on but they're likely receiving under-the-table payments of their own to turn a blind eye.

He’s not going to get dinged in terms of draft value because of this. I think it’s assumed all these top guys get paid anyway. And the NCAA is never going to go after Duke while K is there. Take the money, dare the NCAA to do something about it, and then go to the NBA in a year.

If you are top 50 its a guarantee. You WILL be offered by affiliates (Vendors, boosters, etc.) of some (not all) universities that can afford it. This includes Majors and Mid-Majors that CONSISTENTLY WIN. There is your qualifier. Just stating the facts. I personally know 3 players who have played in the NBA. All from SC, none played for any school in SC by the way. One in particular said he would get his money in a brown paper bag. This is old news.

Thats just an out and out lie. This argument that they all do it is a farce. Stating that they all do it implies that no one has morals and values. People have the opportunity to do things the wrong way all the time and many don't and won't do things that would question their ethics. Don't get me wrong there are plenty that don't care but to say they all do is blatantly false. Also people that say they know people are useless. Unless you can prove your claim it's no better than screaming Russia got the President elected, only stupid people believe it.

The hypocrisy is in expecting families who have little/nothing to... by the grace of God and an inside straight get a chance to make it to The deeluxe Apartment in the Sky, to not grab the golden ring is a little naive... The folks who would fault them are the ones who "pulled themselves up by their bootstraps"...America is a Great place...but there is a ton that needs to be re-defined...
