Limits color pages in media guides and they said we cant use confetti on visits. Yet the Longhorns can have their own network. And the Tarheels dont have classes or academics. What a worthless organization.

How can Texas have it? Enough fan support to support their own network I get; but as you said, "the ncaa wants to give the facade of everyone being equal"! Yet, they can have the longhorn network.

Notre Dame having it's own TV deal essentially is very awkward as well!

*Money - as has already been posted is at the root. I just wish the NCAA dropped the whole dog and pony show and showed their true colors!

domers had pretty much their own network for quite a while as well,but it doesn't seem to have helped them all that much either.

Back in the 60's, after your local 11:00 pm Saturday news went off the air, a 'domer highlights program would come on. It was a national broadcast produced by the 'domer network.

We never watched it, Dad hated the 'domers, and rightfully so.

The Long Horn Network is a complete joke. Even UT fans here in Texas admit it. Nobody gives a care and almost nobody watches. It's existence is not because of "fan support".

The real question is why ESPN agreed to pay UT $300 million over 20 years for a borderline worthless channel. They must have been on drugs. Nobody except the biggest UT homer thinks they have a national brand.

As sorry as the NCAA is, it had nothing to do with the LHN nor should it have.

UT's arrogance and complete ownership of the Little 12 is why A&M and Nebraska both left. They got sick and tired of one school dictating everything.
