Tailgating and pregame suggestions

Oct 22, 2019, 9:34 PM

I will be heading to my first game this weekend with my 16 year old son and a few friends. Was hoping for some insight or suggestions regarding tailgating and other pregame festivities. I was wondering if anyone knows of a tailgate that we can pay to eat and drink at? We won't have the means to do our own setup. Or perhaps some bar/restaruants near the stadium that are worth pregaming in. This is our first experience going to a game at Clemson and my sons 16 birthday present.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Even if you find a tailgate to join, be sure to take your son to the Esso Club on game day. It's not far from the stadium and is a Clemson tradition. Bar food. (I'm not affiliated with the Esso Club) https://theessoclub.com/

Great advice. Go early to Esso and then you can walk through tailgate lots and meet many new friends on your way to the stadium

I agree with the Esso Club since its closest to Death Valley. Across the street you'll see Littlejohn (Basketball Arena). You can walk up the hill to the left side and go into Lot 2. Lots of tailgaters there.

Tiger Band has a pre-game mini-concert 90 minutes before kickoff at the Amphitheater in front of the Cooper Library reflection pond. So it will be at 6 PM for Boston College game. Then you can follow the band down Fort Hill Street to Death Valley.

Hope you have a great time.
