Statue or Not?

It comes up often that whenever Dabo steps down, for whatever reason, we should put up a statue of him. For me, I'm not a fan of that. Dabo has certainly done amazing things for this program, but I just think Clemson is different than all those other schools that do that. It's bigger than one man. As he's said, he couldn't have done it w/o what Tommy did, and Danny before them, and Frank, and so on. And then there's all the players who actually did the work on the field.
I think we put his name in the Ring of Honor, maybe name something after him, but I'm just not a fan of statues like that. Dabo's legacy will live forever no matter what we do - these records and titles will always be a testament to what he has done here. I don't really see that we could do any more than that!

For once I agree with you. If we put up statues of people that have brought Clemson to where we are today we would have to tear down Littkejohn and move it to have room.

As a previous poster said, Ring of Honor. No stinking statue. No fan of statues for coaches or players.

Perfect statue criteria would be an unblemished season.
That would give statues to Heisman, Howard, Ford and Swinney.
The exact coaches that deserve a statue.

I agree with Memphis Tiger on this one. However I would modify his critera slightly: An unblemished season or national championship. Either way, we've had four coaches worthy of a statue.

Maybe put a statue in the Football Operations Building lobby. Since it is DaboWorld. Or a bust and a plaque summarizing achievements. A coaches ring of honor with Howard, Ford, Swinney. Heisman? It would be interesting to have a Heisman niche next to TL's Heisman Trophies. How many places could do that?
