Thank you for the reporting and especially the integrity in keeping this young man’s decision confidential until he was ready for it to be known. Very classy! Not that I expected any less from you, but some of us have witnessed others in your position exploit a situation like this for their personal gain.

The temptation to break the story is an incredibly compelling lure in your profession. You just showed once again why you’re one of the very best at what you do.

Based on the accounts of this young man and his family I would have been surprised if he went to Oregon. Not saying he would but CU seemed to make a real impression on him.
