He says himself that he's a pretty violent guy. He even claims in his book that he gave his teacher a black eye in second grade. Below are some direct quotes, straight from the horse's mouth.
On the topic of protesters at his rallies:
"Get him out," he said of a protester. "Try not to hurt him. If you do, I'll defend you in court. Don't worry about it."
and,
"If you see somebody getting ready to throw a tomato, knock the crap out of them, would you? Seriously, OK? Just knock the hell ... I promise you I will pay for the legal fees. I promise, I promise"
On the topic of the congressman who pled guilty to assaulting a reporter:

As for the liar part, Trump is a known liar when it comes to bragging about himself and his accomplishments, or lying about bad things he's done in the past. He has proven to be honest when it comes to his dangerous rhetoric.
