My Father in Law in France on stage for DDay celebration

Jun 6, 2019, 2:15 PM

He is from Anderson and he SHOULD have worn his Clemson hat. This pic came from a video. We are trying to find a better pic now. He is the guy with red shirt. He served in WW2. Thanks to him and MANY others who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country and the world.

If people were as good as their obituary - and products were as good as advertised - this would truly be a wonderful world !!

I should have added that he was flew to Europe and is doing a sightseeing tour for two weeks on a cruise ship. He went with 16 other soldiers and escorts (32 total) all paid in full by Gary Sinise Foundation!!

Many thanks to your father in law and all the others who sacrificed so that we may live in freedom. Freedom comes at a very high cost; these people paid that cost and we should be eternally grateful. Such bravery and heroism must never be forgotten. They were (and still are) the Greatest Generation.

I certainly agree. It makes it worth standing for our National Anthem.

Great to learn he was able to be there with the other Vets. Very grateful for his service. One of my cousins jumped with the 82nd on D-day and was able to survive the war even after being held as a POW in Dresden.
