the mike morrell mentioned in the story was Purnell's director of ops at CU for a while. he was with shaka at VCU and Texas. was named HC at UNC-A this spring.

But I’m not sure why you mentioned him. I didn’t see his name mentioned in the above article. Did he and his staff pay players too?

His name is not mentioned but Texas is mentioned as one of the schools offering Bowen tens of thousands of dollars in cash and other improper benefits.

If proven, not good for Shaka.

There is a line on the Federal Tax Form for declaring bribes, extortion or other illegal money that is received. Even gifts over about $15,000 from parents is taxable. Wonder when the Eye-Are-Ess is going to ring the doorbell? Ding-Dong.
