Two things I noticed:
Wow, forgot how many busts we had. Middle of our secondary should be ready to go this year.
Think our D line overall plays a lot faster this year, but we will need to be able to get Mond down. XT, KJ and Justin Foster will have big games.
Jimbo will make it more of a ball control game, just run it 90% of the time, keep our offense on sideline.

Jimbo knows he can’t turn this into a running game. Dabo is right, they are going to get off the bus throwing downfield, let’s hope they get on the bus crying about it not working!

According to TAMU’s scouting reports
LT - is a little slow, has struggled at times with speed. If he gets his hands on you he’s big and pretty good. 3 star
LG - Mr Big Mouth, get the impression he’s a hard worker. 3 star
C - has been in and out of the lineup due to injuries, as in other players get injured and he’s asked to step up. Power and strength are his Achilles heel, came out of HS at 260lbs, now he’s 300lbs, that extra weight comes at a price and that price is speed, that’ll be a problem. 3 star
RG - Big Monster, Freshman. 5 star
RT - Big enough, strong enough, he gets XT, not fast enough. 3 star

We will need to be disciplined at the point of attack. They will try to run off tackle, draws, and tunnel screens.
The only way we lose this year is if opponents can run the ball.

All those horseshoes he pulled out of his ace last year came as he was running for his life. DE's need to lock down the edges and let LB's crush the middle for sacks.

First game on defense is usually rough

Thought we were a bit slow at times and our safeties lost the middle of the field , but it was also because A&M made plays other teams couldn’t all year long. Some really freak plays. First game of the year is usually the defense’s worst performance of the season.
Like Dabo said, they learned a lot from that game.
