Not necessarily. A few that I have watched personally:

Devon Taylor - Head Coach Mark Clifford - Former Clemson tight end and true Clemson man - S. Carolina

Nyles Pinckney - Head Coach Hatcher - All S. Carolina - Ended up at Clemson.

There are a couple of others that are still going on that local coaches have gone against their alma matas.

Didn't have any personal knowledge of Gaines Adams, but it has been reported that his head coach and former Carolina Quarterback Tanneyhill called the Clemson coaching staff about him.

I have found that most coaches put the interest of their players above their college allegiances.

Burch is a must get,we can't go 2 recruiting cycles in a row allowing an instate 5 star defensive lineman to sign with Carolina

Mack Brown is a good recruiter, so you never know. Remember, Carolina is in Chapel Hill and USC is in California.
