Driving to work in East TN this morning and listening to local sports radio, I was treated to this dialogue:
Host: What mindset do you think Kentucky will have after that loss to Georgia? How many eggs do you think they put in that basket?
Guest: I hope a LOT!
Wow! Tennessee fans are hoping they get a deflated KY team at home so they have a chance to win. Let that sink in for a moment.
I LOLed the rest of my commute. These are awesome times to be a Tiger living in SEC country. Go Wildcats! LMAO!

He played basketball for the Vols in the early 1950's and is a very well-connected member of their booster organization.
He often says that unless he lives as long as Methuselah, he probably won't be around long enough to see them return to national relevance.

wear Alabama gear these days. Growing up in Upper East Tennessee, overt Bama fans were relatively uncommon. Nowadays it seems like every other bumper sticker or car tag is crimson.

Don't ever disrespect the Ryan's buffet. The old one in Easley was a family favorite.
Quincy's is more appropriate in regards to Tennessee football.

Hey David - I now live in East Tenn too - we should get together and watch our tigers together sometime. Dang these locals seem to HATE CU. One guy told me he'd rather them lose to Bama 100 times than once to CU. Their shade of Orange sucks too...
Graduated in 83 so did we see some of the same era's?
