Dabo and Clemson

Good morning everybody. Another great day to be a ??. Just having some breakfast and got to thinking about the upcoming game and Dabo Swinney’s journey thus far, and what a journey it has been. Dabo has brought so much more to Clemson University than any of us have ever imagined. Not just football, but an everlasting relationship between community and the university. It is my firm belief after seeing all the signs that Dabo and family will be here as long as Bobby Bowden was at FSU or Joe Pa in happy valley. We are truly blessed and this is one Tiger that will always be grateful. Thank you coach for just being you!

Really sad. The guy could have been a hero. Instead, he's a heel. I guess the Bowden comparison is legit. I always think of coach Osborne from Nebraska when drawing up comparisons. Also a man of deep faith who won big over a long period of time. He won three national championships. I think Dabo will win more.

Replace Joe Pa with coach Robinson from Grambling, good grief people I was only talking about tenure. That’s it, nothing else. When the longevity conversation comes up most folks think of Bowden and Paterno.

at his interview with the Clemson brain-trust before he got the head coaching gig:

Old fart brain-trust - we want Clemson to be the Alabama's, Ohio State's & other blue bloods of college football. Can you get us to measure up like that ?


CDS - No. I see Clemson as being THE measuring stick all those other places try to become. THEY wanna be like US.



I think Coach has the opportunity to leave a legacy & a relationship that ALL others will be measured against. And they will come up short every time.
