They can’t continue to win like this long term. If they don’t get their pitching staff squared away they won’t go very far. Still very promising though in the long run and fun to watch.

Phillies will be a good test of how good they really are. Sweeping the pirates was awesome to see. Takes me back the 90’s as a kid.
I can still see all the signs on my wall, Neon Deion, McGriff, David Justice. Smoltzy, Maddux, Glavin, Andruw Jones, Chipper.

I do actually. I feel bad not mentioning him in my previous list of guys, but met Steve when I was 8 and I remember he was the youngest face I met before the game. Still can remember his hairless face; looked like a high school kid signing my glove.
He was hurt sometime early 90’s and never the same. Think he tore something on the underside of his pitching arm. Had some awesome games here and there after but the consistency was gone; he signed with the Twins or Red Sox I think a few years later and fizzed out

The next month will say a lot about this Braves team. I think they can challenge for the division as they are now, but I think it ends the same way it did last year if they don’t do something about the pitching. Which is ironic because all you hear about is the great pitching talent we are supposed to have. I know, I know...it’s young. Folty isn’t young anymore in my opinion. I think he’s just a head case.

Yep, they are on fire and a blast to watch. But you can’t sustain giving up this many runs per game.
