If you attended, what were your thoughts on that "Dads Day"

event this past Saturday?

I went, and I thought it was poorly executed. I'm just curious what others thought, given that it was a new thing this year.

In the abstract, I appreciate what that "All Pro Dads" group is trying to do. But there was way too much "filler" . . . way too much time with one of their representatives screaming into a microphone, but with no real content to what they were saying.

The content of the four stations was weak, too, I thought.

In all, it seemed like a money grab by some outside group.

The former Youth Day was better.

Agreed with everything you stated.. should’ve included a lot more “football” oriented activities all while pushing the fatherly message. And any Clemson youth event held in Death Valley that doesn’t include touching the Rock and running down the hill is a fail in my opinion.. I wish Clemson football would sponsor an event like this next year and make it their own. I think that type of event would be ten times better

Yes, outsourcing this experience generated a clunky, awkward product.

99% of what the football program has done since Dabo has been in charge has been top-shelf in term of quality, so it surprised me that this felt so cheap. Like you suggest, there is an opportunity for the athletic dept. to run this in-house and create real value for fans without costing the dept. much at all (either in time or money terms).

I wouldn't call it a total waste, but definitely room for improvement. I wonder if youth day has just gotten so big that Dabo wanted to go another direction or something. We love youth day because my Son gets to meet the players and you kinda get a feel for their personalities. We stayed until they kicked us out of the stadium. This was before the players left the stadium.
