If Kamara joins the team, will we have

Jan 21, 2014, 12:28 PM

too many running backs in the stable and how will the Chad keep them all happy? I guess this is a good problem to have, but I would hate to see guys transfer out due to a surplus of backs and only one ball to go around.

Im guessing Georgia wishes they had another 5 star running back this year when Marshall and Gurley both went down. You can never have too much talent IMO. There will be injuries (knock on wood) and other things you didn't plan on happening. It will always sort itself out. One thing I have seen at Clemson is the player that works the hardest and shows up in practice gets to play.

By the time Kamara can play

Jan 21, 2014, 12:38 PM

it'll be Watson's job to distribute the ball.

Honestly, you only have to keep the best 2 or 3 happy :)***

If you watched us play offense this season

You would know we will not have trouble keeping any talented skill position payer happy.

You say 'If some guys transfer out,' like it's a bad thing.

Jan 21, 2014, 12:46 PM

We haven't oversigned and we're not throwing anyone off the team or pulling scholarships. That's when it's a bad thing.

We must continue to sign the best players we can sign. If we don't offer the best players out there how can we expect to get better and beat USuCk and make playoff appearances.

if guys transfer out due to lack of playing time that means:

1. More scholarships available for future classes.
2. The best guys we recruited are still on the team because they're starting.

Scholarship.

Seems logical to me. We need to make sure his head is on straight and that he can carry the ball at this level. We don't need another Bellamy...

Dabo misses once in a blue moon on character evaluation.

Jan 21, 2014, 4:28 PM

Mike was Dabo's blue moon. You can expect another to happen somewhere around the time Dabo's contract expires.

You can't try a persons character. There is no test to give and no hoop to jump through to prove your character. All you have to do is be yourself. You can't claim character you have to live it.

Folks have discernment about character. Dabo has that gift and he uses it. If you view our players' interviews you can tell they are of good character, raised correctly or have had major attitude adjustment since they came to Clemson.

That's Dabo's qualifications!

There's a chance Fuller and Oglesby won't qualify

Jan 21, 2014, 2:43 PM

Fuller is sounding like more and more of a long shot and Oglesby might make it but is still looking like a prep school kid. DJ Howard will not play significant minutes again.

That leaves Brooks, gallman, Dye and Davidson. Davidson is a nice change of pace back but not an every down kid.

I just worry about Dye's back. Back stuff is tough to resolve
