Like a verbal minefield. He mentioned picking up the tab because a lot of libs don’t want to spend needlessly on occasions like this. He planned on serving burgers because if he was serving wieners, the BLTBBQ crowd gets upset. If he mentions fried chicken, he’s accused of being a racist. Glad it wasn’t fish, the Pope might have chimed in! Sounds like he did pretty well to me!!

Exactly. This is what the people blinded by their Trump hate can't see. It wasn't a "celebration dinner" as this arrogant pretentious chef seems to think. The team didn't go to the White House for dinner, period. They went to meet the President, tour the White House, and be honored for winning the championship. And they had some food while there, which is usually not the case for these visits. And these new offers for dinner have nothing to do with honoring the team. They are 100% to do with dissing Trump. It's basically "Come eat here because I hate Trump".

They want the publicity and when some of these Tigers are in the pros, they hope to gain more publicity. If the Tigers were to accept these offers, it would be all over the news media and free ads for the restaurants. If I were in the restaurant business I would jump all over an offer to the Tigers.
