Does anyone else think the hill being half empty when they run down for the "25 seconds" is not a good optic, especially the left side of the hill... should be full, if they have to let people in for free "FILL THE HILL"...

no it doesn't last 3 games the left side of the hill has been at best 1/2 to 3/4 full... Louisville everyone was standing on the flat spot, thats not exactly "filled in"... they did away with the balloons then don't fill it .... this is the signature entry of Clemson....

I'm beginning to wonder if the whole thing hasn't been an intentional, behind the scenes plan to get rid of the hill.

Is it a better optic if it is more packed? Yes.
Is it a bad optic it is less than fully packed? No.
Running down the hill is at a minimum an optic of good quality.

The hill should be packed for every game. I do not care if they open it for free an hour before kickoff. IPTAY members need to start making noise about the issue. I was embarrassed Sat to look over and watch the video of "the most exciting 25'seconds" and see the
thing half full. Get school kids, church groups, scouts, whatever. Get backsides on the grass.

was unaware the Hill was students only, funny the right side was pretty full and the student section of the stands were pretty full... just the left side of the hill.... like it usually is, not full.

I have season tix, had them for a long time... so I have seen what the hill used to look like and the entrance was actually exciting to watch...

Yes, it didn't look great but considering the situation acceptable. I was actually pleasantly surprised to see that many student at the game.

...as a student I never sat on the hill. As a freshman I borrowed a friend's (sophomore) activity card and got a duplicate which allowed me to get sophomore tix in top deck south. Some people would rather be in the seats than the dirt.

That's the only way it will ever be filled again consistently. Students are just fickle, more so today than ever. I was one myself, a long time ago. I did attend every home game, though. The university promised to fix it, and they did not.

I have been saying for years that one hour before the game start time, start selling unused Hill tickets to first come-first serve. This would fill up the Hill and hurt all those ticket sharks. Maybe I could afford to go to games on a retirement income.

This ^^^. They used to sell them as general admission tickets before the game on game days. No iptay membership, no assigned areas. The hill was the first section to fill up and it was always packed.

Solution may be to stop giving hill tickets to students.

Maybe sell section GG seats at the gate pre-game. First come. Discounted to maybe $10- $15.
They also need to stop closing the aisle at the top of the hill so early. There’s no reason to block it until the busses leave the west side. Students enter at the south side and can’t get to the north side until they’ve already gone down the hill unless they get there 45 min before kickoff.
