Clemson wall clock, etc. WITH PICTURES

Hey everyone,
I'm a rising senior (with 3 semesters to go) at Clemson and I'm here for the summer working as an intern for a Seneca automotive company. Recently I decided to craft and paint a stool designed with the paw, pictured below, for my parents to have at their house. A classmate and friend of mine has a brother going into his freshman year elsewhere and he wanted to make something for him, so we thought of a wall clock with the SC Palmetto flag on it as a gift idea. I figured I could use the same pine round as I did for the stool. My dad is an '83 alum of Mizzou, and with Father's Day coming up, I made him his own custom furniture, as well. In the past I've made cornhole boards and beer pong tables, neither of which I have the space or equipment for in my apartment down here.

These ideas had me thinking that it might be a good idea to sell wall clocks to other Clemson fans/grads in the area. Unfortunately I don't yet have a picture of a finished wall clock, but I have done enough research to know the cost to make one, including a small labor cost. I don't charge much for that just because this is something for me to be doing and I enjoy simple woodworking.

If you're at all interested, contact me at bccrownover@gmail.com. Go Tigers!

Clemson will grant an artisan license for small quantities. The guy doing the pens from death valley trees got one from clemson. Worth a phone call to AD office.

Could always go the decal route but it looks better when they're hand painted, in my opinion. Someone else responded that there's a way to get a license for small-scale business operations like this. Might look into that since I think they would look good.

I have one that was made years ago that doesn't work. I'll send you a photo. Is it difficult to replace the clock mechanism and battery compartment

You can find them on Amazon and other sites for no more than $10, look up "clock movement kits"

For anyone interested but concerned with the potential licensing violations, I could always do one with the SC palmetto flag logo, whether in the actual blue/white colors or with Clemson colors. Made a cornhole board with that, pic attached.
