CFP Black Magic/Voodoo/History/Whatever you want to call it

A few interesting tidbits that could favor our Tigers in this game. None of this has anything to do with anything on the field, but it's interesting nonetheless.

1. The #1 seed has never won the CFP. It has only been won by even numbered seeds.
2. All previous champs won their semifinal game in a dome.
3. Clemson is unbeaten in the playoffs when playing outside.
4. Villanova men's basketball won its second national title in the spring of 2016 before Clemson won its second national title. Nova also won its third national title this past spring in 2018.
5. Clemson held its national championship parade on the Saturday following the game in early 2017. It was on the same day as a home basketball game against Virginia. UVA is also scheduled to play at Clemson on Saturday, January 12, which would be the Saturday following the natty and would be the day Clemson would celebrate a recent natty win.

Every team Clemson has played in the semis only had 12 games

Clemson has played an extra 13th game in each year.

2015 - Oklahoma 11-1; Big XII had no Champ game at the time
2016 - Ohio State 11-1; didn't play in Big 10 Champ game (Penn St won Big 10)
2017 - Bama 11-1; lost to Auburn and didn't play in the SEC Champ game (UGA won SEC)
2018 - Notre Dame 12-0; Independent, no Champ game
