Boston College defeats Louisville

May 22, 2019, 2:02 PM

I'm assuming that since this was practically a semifinal play-in-game that Louisville threw their Friday night guy. Hopefully we can capitalize on this and finish the tournament 1 and 1. I think that regardless of tomorrow's results, we will be in the tournament. Florida and Missouri, two teams also on the bubble, lost "one and done" games in their tournament yesterday. As long as we get a strong start from our pitcher tomorrow, I predict we capture the win!

Go Tigers!!!

I hope we win although now it becomes tougher since Louisville will most likely throw their next best pitcher instead of preserving arms. "One and done" is not as bad as 0-2 so let's just win and be comfortable. Who is pitching?

Their RPIs are 28 and 31. We’re 42. We might make the tournament but it won’t be at the expense of either of those teams.

Baseball America has us and Florida projected in (last four in), and Missouri the first team out.

RPI isn't everything.

If I understand how the pod works, then no matter what UL does, BC will still advance being 2-0. So my guess is, UL is going to probably host regardless of the outcome with us, so why waste their best pitcher? UL is in IMO, so we might actually beat them, and possibly make a Regional.
