And i honestly dont think they will cover. As a matter of fact, im picking Bama by 17 or 20 with a solid showing by duke. Would love to see bama lose but sadly id be dreaming.

Bet the house on Bama. They’re a cover machine in OOC season openers and it’s never even sweaty. And they got blown out last game so they’re going to be looking to prove a point. They might win by 70

Duke was an average team last year with the 6th overall pick at QB. Bama will cover easily

Still scratching my head on that draft pick. Was at the Dook game and I wasn't impressed. I looked up their QB's stats and still wondered what the NYG were thinking.

I respectfully disagree with most of you. Yes, I agree that Bama is butthurt, with RUTS if possible, will not consider taking a knee against any ACC team, is at HOME and wants to satisfy the masses. and Duke lost Daniel Jones to the NFL.
However, Duke is a young team and has most of their play makers coming back. They still have a pretty good team, and I think Bama might be hesitant to show the whole playbook in their OOC opener. They still have to play some fairly decent ne'er-do-well teams in the SECondplace Conference. So NO, Bama does NOT cover. I doubt they win by 28. Won't happen. Bama and the SEC is overrated and have been exposed.

Alabama was not prepared to substitute against lil' ole Clemson last year and it showed. On one particular play (3rd quarter?), Clemson had a 3rd and 10+ yards, and TL ran around left end. Alabama's senior "everything and a bag of potato chips" right defense end looked like he was running in deep mud. I think that TL was maybe even a little bewildered as he ran for the 1st down. I think that it was lost on most Bammer fans that the Clemson DL that make the tackle on Bammer's failed fake field goal was a back-up...with a LOT of experience! I will always wonder just how much Clemson could have run scores up all year long if we would had not substituted as much as we did? However, I'm glad that we do play as deep into the roster as we reasonably can.

Even this season if we had beaten Bama by a touchdown,. But I think they want to make a statement, and especially against an ACC opponent.

We may see if Saban has learned a lesson. He may try to hold the score down below the spread so his players will not be so exhausted at the end of the season

Is the best defense he has had and he has had some good defenses before. They have 8 starters returning on defense and two players coming back from injuries that were former starters including the CB who was also All-ACC.
Also the new starting QB did pretty well when Jones was hurt last year including winning at Baylor. I wouldn't be surprised if Duke won 8 or 9 games this coming season.
I say the most Alabama's wins is three TDs, 4 at the most.
I'll say they win 38-13
