Lamar being out is not why the D struggled vs the pass

He's a good player, dominant run stuffer and a good blitzer, but anyone who has watched us play knows that he come off the field on obvious passing downs. Pass coverage is just not his strength. Considering SCar abandoned the run pretty early because their defense could stop us and their passing game was working, this wasn't the kind of game where he would have gotten a ton of snaps even if he was healthy.

The poor defense was mostly on the Safeties and the Nickle/SAM linebacker (Simmons). They'll likely play better in the future.

Missing Tre is pretty low on the reasons for our struggles though.

Did you watch the game ? We need a safety that can play center field and LBs that can cover the underneath stuff . Muse likes to hit hard and talk smack after being burned I would put him on the bench until he understand his job . 14 please someone teach him how to tackle
