If people were as good as their obituary - and products were as good as advertised - this would truly be a wonderful world !!

I'd say go with the standard practice. Find water moving in the mouth of a creek. Live shrimp are your best bet. On a cork for trout and on the bottom for reds.

If your targeting redfish, put some crab pots out. Take the blue crabs you catch, pop their top shell off, and crack them in half. Use a 5/0 circle hook through the back leg of one of the halfs. Fish it on the bottom. I generally have the best luck fishing the mouths of creeks or off docks at the Wando.

Blue crabs are like crack to Redfish. The scent of 1/4'ed crab will pull them in from a pretty good way down current. Like Tiger4Life54 said, use a circle hook or you will have a gut hooked fish every time. They absolutely Hoover the crabs.

Don't forget the pigs of your catch with your sideways camera.
