Syracuse is in for a rude awakening this year.

They can't expect us to play our worst game of the season and have our starting QB knocked out of the game, yet again.

Agreed. I think we win big. 45-17ish.

We won't take them for granted, and like you said, hopefully this year we'll finally have a healthy starting QB against them again.

Agree in these fine points made by all of you. But at the same time, 3 years in a row, our backup QB has had to play significantly snaps because of injury to the starter. While Watson could have come back in, the point is, Cuse go hard and hits even harder. That defense isnt nearly the joke some pundits seem to think it is, and I for one certainly have not written a W In magic marker, however likely it may be. Go Tigers!

But I think one thing to consider on this game - not just how hard they go after our QBs. But what QB are they bringing this year? It won't be Dungey. I don't know much about Forer but I somehow doubt he is as good as 3-and-4 year veteran Dungey was against us.

Summary: no matter which QB we put on the field, I doubt they can match our point output when they have the ball. Nor can they stop our RBs behind our OL enough to shut us down.

Their QB this year, Devito had a lot of potential to be a good one. On paper he is a much bigger land than Dungey was at least. Dungey played well above his HS ranking obviously, but I remember seeing Devito in the Elite 11 camp, and the kid can sling it. Can he manage a game when #3 is chasing him? Time will tell.
