Eff him and the gamecoots.

Just another angle in their list of attempts to besmirch Clemson. We've had them say our staff doesn't care about injured players, our team is racist, our school is racist and now we don't care about a hurricane. They are grasping at straws because we own them. Oh wait, they will probably call us insensitive to the environment because we use straws. Yeah, that's the ticket, "Clemson hates the environment! They have straws!"

Not going to read the article but judging by the headline it seems people expect life to stop for some while some others are going through tough times. Sucks bad things happen but life goes on for others.

Couldn't agree more. Just cause others cancelled, doesnt mean we have to. What is there like an unwritten law that we must do as other in the state... stupid. I live in Hanahan. If you're not familiar with it, it's one street over from North Chatleston. You're not gonna hear me complain about the game still going on.

Georgia has not cancelled it's game and is closer to Clemson than USuC, only about 70 miles apart. Why is no one blasting Georgia for playing a home game tomorrow?

We have been told to stay away from the affected storm areas until authorities give the word to return. Clemson fans, as well as many others, will join the many who will head to the storm affected areas to lend their assistance. In the meantime are we to sit at home twiddling our thumbs when life goes on? I imagine there are many who welcome some diversion from all of the storm related news when there is nothing we can do at the moment except pray for the safety and well being of all those in the path of Florence.

recommended. If you live on the coast or in the midlands, going to Clemson for a football game would seem to be following the advice of getting the #### out of the areas that will have dangerous conditions. Gamecoots truly have chicken brains.

My dad went to the first Clemson game he could post-Hugo. He just wanted to see normal life and trees again. Mission accomplished.
Georgia Southern played during Hugo - & won.

I remember that Georgia Southern game vividly - it was actually the Thursday night game and was played hours before Hugo landfalled in Charleston about 100 miles away.

You mean - CU Admin have told Tiger Fans to stay away from the infected areas of of CU like Death Valley'
The Eagles will deliver so much carnage on the Tigers that the Stadium will be unsafe.
The CDC has been already called in with has-mat teams.

You're in a CU board talking junk. I could almost understand if this was a Furnan or SCU board. At least you would have a chance to get a win but unfortunately you come across as a dumba$$ here.
Not to mention Memphis is destroying your team right now. Just think what the CU Tigers are going to do to them after having to play back to back games like that.

Apparently, comprehension and an attempt to inject humor in a very serious matter does not reflect well on a visitor to another board. This board welcomes any poster who demonstrates the ability to maintain a degree of civility and maturity.

TITLE
Coot writer trying to shame CU for playing through Florence.
Why would he want to shame CU for that?
The shame will come when Georgia Southern upsets the Tiers. Ga. Southern Eagles 31 - Tigers 28.

So the National Hurricane Center is predicting wind speeds of 20 - 40 MPH arriving after 4:00 PM in Clemson and rain totals for two days of 2-4 inches. Sounds like we should have cancelled the football game. LOL!!!!

Hopefully the game will be played in a safe environment without interruption and we can snub those who are trying to make this a negative weekend.

Some teams dominate their in-state rival. Some teams play for conference championships. Some teams win conference championships. Some teams play for national championships. Some teams win national championships.
And some teams... don’t.

disappointed in Mr. Iacobelli---who's been doing this for a long time---and the further compromise of professionalism.Almost every paragraph contains an inflammatory statement followed by a half-hearted defense that makes it (the article) seem an attack on Clemson's intentions--when its really not. I expected more from Mr. Iacobelli who has frequently written complimentary pieces on Tiger sports.....it isn't BAD journalism.....its just cheap.
IMO---No one should put their well-being or that of their families in jeopardy by going to a football game. No state troopers should be used for crowd/traffic control at the GaSouthern game....there are more than sufficient numbers of sheriff's department and municipal police in the surrounding counties for the university to employ and I'm certain their respective employers would welcome the additional funds.....Clemson has used them in the past and will continue to do so into the future, I assume

The same stupid article appeared in my local newspaper here in Crystal Lake, Il. He is really pushing the envelope. The coots could have moved the game to a Friday or even a Thursday game, but apparently they don't have enough of brain power to do that. They just want to criticize and sound dumber each time they squak.

The writer is employed by the AP. Long time SC AP writer for sports in our state. Don't think he went to usEc. None of this, however makes him less wrong.
