At some point, the country will have to pay for the services it needs. New Infrastructure investment should be balanced with revenue and not impact the deficit.

The gridlock on our highways is a huge hidden cost to small and large businesses. I know a local plumbing contractor who typically has 3-4 full time employees. His travel time is up 35 to 50 % in the last 20 years. He has increased his rates to cover the labor and fuel but minimum impact on profits. There is zero value added to “wait” time for the business or consumer. The same dilemma manifests itself in larger businesses.

Not to mention the lost personal time from traffic delays and congestion in general.
