A serious question for the bored?

Aug 3, 2019, 5:09 PM

I was having lunch today with Don Munson, Spud, and a couple other tiger faithful and we were discussing Hunter Renfrow and I posed this question for the guys to answer. "Did Hunter ever get called for a penalty in his entire career? Nobody could ever remember him being penalized for anything so I'm asking you guys if you can cite one instance of this happening. When you take into consideration how many starts he had over his career and how many crical plays he was involved in if this is correct that might be a feat which will never be duplicated. Hunter was also undervalued as a blocker, so as a bonus question can you cite one time that he missed a block? If you agree that he was never penalized try to come up with the name of another player that played a similar number of downs who never got a penalty.

I was formally known as Furious george and have changed my name to match the name I use to call on WCCP radio.

I just asked DW4 and Danny Ford and both said they couldn’t remember him ever being penalized.

Ron Cherry is the worst official in sports! If he could he would have made one up and called it against Hunter!

Ask Tim Bourett he would know for sure.

The only thing I remember is Dabo getting called for a penalty after Renfrow got hit by a water bottle thrown from the student section after scoring a TD in WB.

Pretty sure he got one

I ran it by Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio and they said, "#### off! We're calling security!"

I took that as no, they couldn't remember either...

It doesn’t seem like a fair comparison since WRs aren’t often in a position to commit a penalty. Maybe offensive pass interference but a slot receiver doesn’t have enough time for that. I’m sure you could say the same thing about Sammy and Nuk.

Most wide receivers get called for false starts and holds several times in their careers.
