Playoff selection Criteria

CRITERIA:

Championships won
Strength of Schedule
Head to Head Competition
Comparative wins of Common Opponents

Bama no Championship - Lost state championship to Auburn and did not play in SEC championship
OSU Won Big 10 Championship

Strength of Schedule: BAMA Best wins LSU 9-3, Mississippi St 8-4 and lost in their one real test to Auburn who in turn lost to Georiga in SEC Championship

OSU beat PSU 10-2, Michigan St. 9-3, and Northwestern 9-3 all in Top 20. Losses to OU Big 12 Champion and Top 4 CFP and a streaky Iowa St team.

No brainer OSU in Bama out

I agree. Bama''s success has killed the SEC to the point they don't have a high quality win to get them in without the title game appearance.
