Physicality

Sep 7, 2019, 10:51 PM

The first two games of the year we have played with a physicality I haven’t really seen at Clemson. We have had great defenses but the last two games we have been thumping and punishing whoever has the ball. Simmons, muse especially. I’ve been impressed with tanner so far this year. It looks like he has elevated his game this year.

And we thought our offense was going to have to carry us!!!!

That was a horrible call by the SEC on the low hit personal penalty!

Lol. That was a textbook low hit on a qb penalty. They could literally show refs in training that play and the refs would know exactly how to call it.

That is literally a rule in the rule book. You can’t hit a qb low (around the knees) when he’s passing and in a defenseless position.

Hard being a defender in today’s game. Would have been a perfect hit, not too high or too low but the QB jumped at the last second before impact. The impact shifted from QBs thigh to his shin/ankle in a spilt second.

Wallace seemed to think that Mond hopped backward

and that created the situation. Have to watch it again to see if that makes sense, but either way - I think it was a good call.

Can't be too upset with the refs tonight -- a blown called kept us from having a safety.

O-Line was not as strong as they needed to be at all times.

“Clemson wasn’t that much better with Trevor Lawrence, if at all.”

They swarm and hit like Alabama used to.***
