PSU's white was impressive
something we would NEVER be able to pull off when playing a major rivial ie: SCar !
Did you notice how few Ohio St fans there were and how they were all in just a few sections???
My least favorite game of the year is coming up...... SCar ! Coots to the left of me, coots to right, coots behind me ( very scary! ) , coots in front of me ! There are gamecocks sitting every where ! In the student section, in the IPTAY section, etc.
WHY do Clemson fans invite and bring carolina fans to this game? It shouldn't matter that your brother-in-law is a carolina fan or your wife or best friend.
Keep the coots at home !!! I bet the mix is 60/40. It should be 80/20 at the max !!
PLEASE if you have extra tickets - don't give them to a SCar fan, if you have coot friends-tell them to look for you on TV
Let's keep DV orange !!!!

They get substantially more tickets than a normal opponent, and they do the same for us. I don't know what the split is, but this has always been the case.

It has not "always been the case" I have been in the same section for 30 year and only over the last 10 has the increase in coots been noticeable.
The allotment may be more but there are still way too many Tigers bringing in coots

I know this because that is when the iptay office explained it to me, right after I graduated and had to start buying my season tickets.

both teams cut a few yrs ago, but added back the last 4. How I know this is we lost our tickets to WB and called office. We've been to WB the last 2 games there
I can remember back in the day we'd give them the whole WEZ and they did the same for us. I sat in EZ of WB for yrs, now we're in upper deck.
Now they split us up by giving the back rows of upper decks. The upper north is full of coots

And they do the same for us.
One thing that makes it appear that they bring more fans is that the game is typically cold and most people own black jackets. Solid Orange is more difficult to achieve as the mercury dips.
I haven't found a triple F.A.T goose jacket in orange yet...

My wife graduated from SC and she'll be with me and the rest mf my Tiger family, as I am with her SC family every other year in Columbia. Sorry if that upsets people but we have a great time every year and it's always cordial on both sides. That being said, here's hoping another 63-17. Go Tigers!

It's never much more than 70/30 at either Clemson or Columbia. Also, OSU and PSU aren't good comparisons for the in-state rivalries. When you're only two hours from eachother and a lot of people throughout the state are fans of either team, you're going to end up with lots of "visiting" fans. The same is true of Bama/ Auburn, UF/FSU, and UNC/NC State.

2010 was pretty bad. That was probably the closest it's been to 60/40.

I agree, the white out is amazing!!!!! It's also some what intimidating to the rival team.
I would like to see Death Valley orange orange orange!!!!' Vs the coots
Every year I notice that at Death Valley, it is more 60/40 like you said....
You watch the game at USC, it's more like a 70/30!
We need to do something about this !

Sick of "fans" who sell their tickets to opposing fans and then have the nerve to say "It helps me pay my Iptay dues." If the day comes where that is the only way I can afford my dues, I will drop out. If I can not attend a game, I assure you there is a Tiger fan in the seat.

When I was young and my Dad had extra tickets, he would wait until we where walking into the stadium and just give them to a Tiger fan esp fans with kids or seniors. And yes these were Danny Ford days not Ken Hatfield or later.
