Great night in Oxford - outcome be ######

What a great trip. I live just outside of Memphis and took my two boys (12 and 14) to the game tonight. It was about a 90 minute drive from front door to the parking lot.

We parked in the “South Lot” and I was worried about how long the walk would be. Well we get settled at about 4:15, open up the tailgate for some sammiches and drinks. Folks walking by our little set up were all nice, two gentlemen stopping to say hi and take a picture of me and the boys.

At about 5 we wrapped things up and headed over to catch a ride to the park. They had a bunch of large golf carts - 8 seaters - shuttling folks to the field. Less than a 5 minute wait and a three minute ride and we were dropped off at the main gates.

Folks at the game were incredibly nice. I got thanked a half dozen times for beating Alabama so bad, and all were welcoming. We even got invited for food and drinks to one of the tents out in left field.

We stood the whole game... general admission is really SRO there. We left in the 7th, not long after the bomb to make it 6-1.

As we left, the carts were there to take us back to the lot. The nice lady driving it was great and loved our purple unis.

Again, other than the outcome, a great evening. I would definitely recommend a trip to Oxford.

Glad it was a nice experience...minus the loss.

Thanks for sharing! Other than the ball girls, it was painful. Glad they were gracious, but I hated on them the whole game ??

Ball girls without gloves are just chicks on the field

The beer showers in right field were something to behold... sorry we had to witness it three times
