I can remember when Clemson's secondary was exposed by USCjr a few weeks ago and the concern (including mine) there was about our ability to defend the middle of the field on slants and seam routes.
* Then, I remember Coach Venables saying he was embarrassed by our performance and he would get it fixed.
* Next, I remember our guys tearing ND a new one and the secondary was no longer a problem.
* Finally, I saw our D rip 'Bama's heart out and our O rip 'Bama a new one.
Good teams and coaches identify and fix problems in order to continually improve. Bad teams and coaches just p*ss and moan about how they were cheated.
Sorry, Nick - Clemson didn't steal anything as a copy cat - you failed to recognize your weaknesses and fix them. Clemson only capitalized on your arrogance and stupidity.

Hit the nail on the head there. I left the Sugar Bowl last year admitting we got man handled on both sides of the L.O.S. Last night wasn't man handled it was flat out domination.

I thought more of Nicki Saban. That was kind of bush league how he said that! Lost a smidge of respect for him for sure!
Scouting your opponents is football 101 stuff! If you so happen to come up with the same plan another opponent used; "it's not copy catting"! Especially if it works!

Isn't it their jobs to break down video on both the opponent and them selves and identify where they can be exploited.
That's what ALL teams do.
