2016 & 018 with a lot less 5 stars than BAMA. It’s all about evaluating, culture, and coaching, and in the past 24/7 under valued our players.

This is a great accomplishment. Though we are doing very well with the talent we get, my guess is we do even better with even better/more established talent in the future. Face it, we now are a lot of guy's "dream school", and there are good reasons for that.

Actually, it's six 5 stars according to the composite rankings which take into account Rivals, ESPN and 24/7's own proprietary rankings. That means that those six players are ranked highly on all 3 of the major services.

Also, for the record, 24/7's proprietary rankings currently only list a total of 18 5-star players compared to Rivals which has a total of 25, and ESPN which currently has 17. Looks like they don't hand out 5 stars so easily after all.

We beat Bama in '16 with a walk-on, so we don't have to have more 5* players than Bama to win. But it helps to DOMINATE them.
