Success sure did go to his head coming out of Grayson.......

high school in metro Atlanta - got a big head at Ole Miss - has never been all the player he could have been and doesn't know how to handle success in the NFL.
If he had played for Dabo he'd be a different person than he is now.

He would have ended up like Kelly. Politely escorted off of our campus.

Honest truth though is we recruited him hard and wanted him

but his mom didn't know best in this situation. It would be nice if we could sit back now and say, well we didn't want him anyway at this point but that simply isn't true. We only stopped recruiting when it was obvious he was going to Ole Miss cause mom and others enjoyed special benefits.

His mother was waaay too adamant about him not going to

Clemson. She said in the AJC 'Clemson was out of her way'. She had never visited and had never spoken to Dabo her life. She didn't want to hear anything Dabo had to say even though her son loved the place. She also said she loved Saban and Alabama but nothing was going to do her except for the kid and his brother to play together.
I knew it at the time, but we can all rest in the knowledge now...given how hard Hugh Freeze and Ole Miss were busted, there's zero doubt she took money from Ole Pisss. She also said she was in contact w/ Saban a lot on Facebook. Well if she loved Bama and Saban so much he would've gone there all else being equal. Saban must not've been willing to pay the greedy Nigerian politician witch. IIRC his father also got a sweet new job just out of the blue. She used her insistence that he play with his brother as an excuse. What did she care if he played with his brother. She wasn't even in the country.
I'm ecstatic he never came to Clemson. I was soured on him from the moment his mother got involved because it all started smelling to high Heaven. Like someone else said, he'd have gone the way of Chad Kelly or Mike Bellamy. Dabo would've never tolerated him taking plays off or especially the drug charge and him jumping out a hotel window to escape. Smoking a doob is one thing, dealing is quite another. Glad he was/is other peoples' problem.

Then we recruited Ebenezer Ogundeko, and Dabo observed that he was one-for-two with Nigerian mamas.
But that one didn't work out so well, either.

Misspelled Kemdouche. Given all that has gone on with him,

we dodged a recruiting bullet there. We will never know if we could have straightened him out, or if he would have been bounced from the program. I suspect the latter would have been the case, but as said, we will never know.

I wonder if he would have been such an asshat if he came to Clemson. Sometimes cancer metastasizes, sometimes it can be cured, sometimes it has to be cut out. I'm glad we didn't have to find out.

You're right--it's possible the positive influences he would have received at Clemson could have helped him in life. His parents didn't do him any favors.
