The BCS way of picking teams was better

Dec 1, 2018, 10:02 AM

No personal bias. Everyone measured the same way. I was against a “committee” picking teams and I’m even more against it now.

”4 best teams”. That’s so subjective.

Most of the programs were not open source and had personal

bias.

If they didn't, you wouldn't need six programs, just one good one.

Nope

The BCS served up a sacrificial lamb to the SEC every year.

Clemson doesn't care about basketball....as evidenced by Brown-L getting 14 years.

Yes, the 2012 BCS championship was the best!

Thrilling. At least Bama and UGa had to win in the semi's last year. I guess you must love some SEC.

No 1 loss team shall ever be placed ahead of a 1 loss SEC

team. Undefeated SEC teams are automatically No 1...same goes with 2,3 and 4 loss teams.

An open source algorithm would be a much better solution.

I have to respectfully disagree with you on that. 4 is the perfect amount, 2 teams chosen by computers left a lot to be desired and easily could leave out a better team. However, 4 gets the best teams in to prove it. Generally only 3 or 4 teams really deserve a shot at the championship in a given year.

**bascially dont want to go back to computers and don’t want to expand to 6 or 8**

Right on target. As long as the best team is selected and the other 3 (hopefully the next best three) are representative of who most fans and the committee consider the best based on performance and competition, then the National Champion will be identified.

Thank God, bama was able to get in last year

they almost missed out because they were not conference champions and lost the last game of the regular season.
