I know that, in Heaven, Nolan Turner's dad HAD to be smiling while looking down at his son's interception and run-back. Heck, it made me smile, and I'm just an old, disinterested softy who happens to be a Clemson grad and fan. For every "unfair" twist of fate like DL's bogus ineligibility ruling, I'm glad there's something in the universe that tries to even things out. That's what NT's interception appeared to be to me. If it weren't for men like Dabo Sweeney, NT would never have had the chance to do that on such a grand stage!!!
I remember his dad as a player and have looked at some footage since I heard the story. What a robust vital punishing fullback he was. To be wasting away and made helpless by that disease is frightening. We must find a cure for this.
