No chance UGA gets in with a loss

Nov 30, 2018, 4:04 PM

And you know why? Because it would be unfair to Bama and the committee would never do anything to make it hard for Alabama. No way they would give Georgia what would basically be a mulligan.

If the impressive loss to Bama could move UGA up to 3 however...

As long as the Tigers win, I would be perfectly happy with chaos. *

Ohio St and Oklahoma also lose. Then who are you going to put in? #7 Michigan? doubtful UCF? ummm maybe? but also doubtful

If UGA wins, they are in as is Bama. If Bama wins UGA is out and either Ohio State or Oklahoma will be in playing Bama.. It's pretty straight forward. If Bama wins we play ND in the playoff.

Bama will not get in with a loss unless OHST and OU both lose. Last year it was 1 loss Bama vs 2 loss conference champions.

I would not be surprised if OU jumps ND to give Bama the easier match-up.

If undefeated teams remain with OU and OHST falling, then a conference champion UCF will get a shot.

Bama is a lock to get in even with a loss.

A two-loss UGA doesn't get in, neither does a two-loss Oklahoma, or Ohio State.
But I don't see both Oklahoma, and Ohio State losing.
Georgia will probably not win, but if they do, then two SEC schools are in the CFP's for the second year in a row, no matter what OU or OSU do.
More than likely Bama wins, and Clemson wins, and they remain # 1 and # 2.
Notre Dame comes in at # 3 but Oklahoma could move into that spot with an impressive win over Texas.
Where it gets iffy is what happens if UGA, OU, and OSU all win big.
Then you would have 4 teams each with one loss.
