Interesting question for u guys - rank top 10 coaching jobs

I've seen articles that rank the various college football programs in terms of which would be most desirable for a coach based on all factors (tradition, finances, fanbase, location, recruiting grounds, conference, etc). I made my own list and was curious how some of you other Tnetters would place the top programs.
My homer list: 1) Clemson 2) Bama 3) Ohio State 4) Texas 5) USC 6) Georgia 7) Florida 8) FSU 9) Notre Dame 10) Michigan
Non-homer list: 1) Clemson 2) Bama 3) Ohio State 4) Texas 5) USC 6) Georgia 7) Florida 8) FSU 9) Notre Dame 10) Michigan
Sorry, I couldn't make myself put Clemson anywhere on the list other than #1.
Just outside the top ten I would put teams like LSU, A&M, Penn State, Auburn, and Miami.
What do you guys think?

Reality vs. hope: Clemson 3rd or 4th.

Two questions:
1) Does Clemson University HC make the highest salary in the country?
2) Do Clemson's coaches, facilities, campus and Lake Keowee offer a home base the top recruits in the country want to be part of? does Jackson Carman enjoy water sports?
I would answer for the here and now and living in the present, Clemson is the place to be. And thanks to Dabo, DW4, CW42, CF99, TL16, the Power Rangers and our Defense and skill players for making it happen! Go Tigers!
Texas and Austin would be 2nd … speaking of which, a home and away with Texas and Ole Miss is welcome.

Of course not. That's why you should just tell me my rankings are 100 percent correct.

I've said for the last 5 or 6 years DUKE is one of the best "HC jobs" in the country - if - you're as good as Coach David C.
If he wins 6 or 7 & goes to a bowl, it's a pretty fine year at Duke. Coach DC is coming up on his 12th season, and there's no pressure or expectation to win a Natty. Winning a bowl is fantastic. Winning a Coastal is outstanding. It's a cool $3-million a year, and Coach DC just has to remain fairly competitive.
I'd say a nice gig for a guy in the latter part of his career.

FSU, OKLAHOMA and USC should be above Georgia and Florida

Florida is only a great team when they have a great coach.
same goes for Georgia, they have never had a great coach. They only have the recruiting national championship.
FSU, USC and Oklahoma have had much longer sustained runs of top level success.

Some teams are good and then some teams are the media that vote favorites. In the old days before the games were played on the field, some teams were eliminated before the season started. Others received favorable treatment in the polls and they still do, but it more or less is the best team is national champion.

Clemson tolerated losing for decades because all of the...

loosers we had for coaches had integrity. They did their best to see to the kid's education and moral behavior. Hatfield, West...all had only one thing going for them, integrity.
Integrity is a virtue which isn't required or perhaps even desirable in most prominent D1 coaching jobs. For that reason I'd put Clemson first but I'll have to say the integrity characteristic would be the first factor many D1 schools would use to eliminated candidates.
