Boulware not concerned about defense as Seminoles loom

Clemson's defense wasn't dominant against North Carolina St. last weekend, but with a talented Florida St. team up next linebacker Ben Boulware isn't concerned. Full Story »

Shove that ball down Cooks throat! Put Golson on rhe ground all night to where he wishes he had stayed 3rd string at ND. Make them limp back to Florida with Jimbo hangin his head. Go Tigers! !!

I'm a little conflicted about BB. I love his play, but I don't always appreciate his antics after the play. He seems to be doing some of the "stuff" that Coach preached against at halftime of the Miami game. Mine might not be a popular opinion, but I had to speak my mind. Don't stop the playing, just the acting!

Uh....not worried about the defense? I can almost

Nov 3, 2015, 7:58 AM

Guarantee FSU will follow the same game plan w/ better athletes. Add to that , we have to prepare for 2 qb's and find a way to get over that mental hump they have over us. I've been pretty confident until this game. Maybe I'll just do all the worrying for the defense and let them play.

I worry every game. Because you just never know, its college age kids and they loose focus easily. But this team( other then last week ) have been mostly dialed in on their jobs. I will be screaming , yelling, changing hats and shirts on bad plays and pulling loudly for my Tigers no- matter what. I will most definitely be dialed in, for a tiger win! GO TIGERS!!!!!

FSU does not have a better QB than Jacoby Brissett, so ...

Nov 3, 2015, 12:56 PM [ in reply to Uh....not worried about the defense? I can almost ]

... at least one FSU "athlete" will not be better than what we faced in Raleigh.

Everybody can't be satisfied with every play of every player. I remember when Ben came to Clemson, most on here were talking about how mean spirited he was, and were saying how we needed more mean spirited players like Ben on both sides of the line and in the trenches. Well we only have just one like Ben. Like him or don't like him, I love that fire he has, and 2 or 3 more just like him, and teams would once again fear or really hate facing our D on any field. Ben will bring the pain, and most still want to see the pain brought, and brought hard. Gooooo Ben Boulware, and bring the truth about the pain!!!

I have full confidence in them. Go Tigers!***

It seemed the D did fine, except for the 2 complete busts

Nov 3, 2015, 9:11 AM

on the long runs up the middle AND their inability to get NCState's QB on the ground. The D had good pressure on the QB, but he was elusive enough to get away. Hopefully they'll contain Golson better.

Ben remained me of a bill romanowski type line backer, he plays mad. I don't think boulware is dirty. But I do see he plays an aggressive style. You either love that type of a player or you hate him. I for one love to see that type of line backer. He is a fighter , and he will fight all game for your team. Ben will be one of the greats. GO TIGERS!!!

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Romanowski was just about the dirtiest player I've ever seen.

Nov 3, 2015, 12:04 PM

I hate your comparison. Romanowski was a roided up prick who spit in the faces (literally) of other teams players. Flipping off fans and dirty cheapshots, were Romanowski trademarks. Ben Bouleware plays with fire but I've yet to see him act like a classless roided out freak who can't contain his rage.

I love Boulware's intensity, but, he needs to learn to channel it. He gets hopped up and over pursues and misses assignments. Luke Keuchly of the Panthers plays with unbelievable intensity but he channels it into focus and resolve. Ben misses too many assignments, particularly in the run game.

BB will knock the heck out of you, then offer a hand to help you get up..

I too would take two or three more just like him.

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

ALERT! Those runs up the gut went right by BB

Nov 3, 2015, 12:20 PM

Don't know the assignments, but he appeared out of position up too close to the line & it was like Linda Ronstadt's "BLUE BAYOU" twice.

Watched the NCST game again

Nov 5, 2015, 7:16 AM

Looking for possible reasons why NCST scored so much.

1. Our Defensive Tackles got beat on two big run plays.
2. State made three big pass plays. Nothing you can do about that
3. We fumbled the ball in the fourth when we were pounding them. Incredible 4th and long catch
4. Kick-off return in the first quarter.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

the 4th and long catch was ridiculous..

Nov 5, 2015, 7:28 AM

I had a bad feeling after that one.
