Why is that?

He has video game speed and agility. His arm strength is elite. He produced at the same level, in the same system, as Baker Mayfield who had a fantastic rookie year.

I wouldn't have drafted Baker #1 overall either. Seems like a great kid who is a dynamic athlete with plenty of arm talent, but QB is very difficult to project in the NFL and he will have to overcome natural obstacles that other similar QB's of the past have not. He could definitely turn out to be solid, but that's a lot of gamble for #1 overall.

Did you watch the NFL this year?

Baker Mayfield is a superstar already. There is no 'could definitely turn out to be solid', dude is ALREADY solid with a ceiling of MVP.

He reminds me of Doug Flutie.
Good, but not a great player in the NFL.
The guy is not as big or tall as DW4, and he doesn't have the arm. Deshaun had every intangible any NFL scout could ask for. He had a Championship pedigree etc... and people still knocked him heading into the draft. Well, he's shown them.
As for Kyler Murray, he's quicker/faster than DW4. That's it, nothing else, nada. Kyler Murray isn't going to "change the NFL.....please.
Some idiot GM is eventually going to lose his job because he picks this guy #1.

Murray's arm is MUCH stronger than Watson's

Don't forget that Murray is 1st round outfielder prospect with a cannon for an arm.

Watson's. His arm also isn't exactly a "cannon" in the outfield, scouts graded him a 30 on a 20-80 scale for baseball.

Every NFL scout loves his arm. This is common knowledge...

The only knock on Watson was his ball velocity.

I'll take your word for it, but I don't remember it that way.
As far as his baseball arm, the throwing motion for baseball and football don't necessarily translate. Just because you can throw a football hard doesn't mean you would have a cannon for an arm in baseball and vice versa.
My buddy who's an ex-baseball coach at an SEC school explained as much.

Most have it graded as elite for an NFL QB.
Watson had the lowest ball velocity of any 1st round QB this decade. That was the only knock on him coming out of college.

Depends on the system they run. With Kingsbury I believe he will thrive. He has a great arm and is as quick as they come. Seems to he smart with the ball.

Agree. His mobility is his strength and it will decrease rapidly in the NFL.

I'm kind of interested to see how he does. he saw the field

Surprisingly well to me. He had a pretty large OL at OK.
If he can still see the field well, gets to play in a simpler college style system [Kingsbury] I think he is better than Russell Wilson who has done pretty well.
