In now way shape or form or in any ultraverse are they CFP worthy. They need to schedule more Top 40 teams and then they will get consideration.

just like they did last year.
Since the CFP semi final games are being played at the Orange Bowl and Cotton Bowl, UCF will end-up in the Peach Fil-A Bowl, Sugar Bowl, or the Fiesta Bowl.

actually do that.
1) Schedules are done so far out they would likely be scheduling for the early to mid 2020's right now. It's nearly impossible to know who will be good then or if UCF will even be good at that point.
2) Who is actually going to agree to play them? The power teams will rarely play a game like that so they are basically looking at tier 3 and below and then hoping those teams don't stink when the games roll around.

My guess is that they will play the #5 team. Thus it will be the SEC CG loser (i know) or the Big10 East loser... or ND is they have a loss.

The solution is Kentucky.
If kentucky wins... well, that is self explanatory.
If UCF beats Kentucky, well no-one can claim a Natty if the best win is Kentucky... you might fall out of the top 25 if you beat Kentucky

Would love to see UCF annihilate the coots, but that match up ain't gonna happen. UCF will go to a much better bowl that Shreveport or Birmingham.
