My problem is that I always see both sides of the coin

Sep 26, 2018, 3:18 PM

I can understand that a senior would be upset over losing out the starting spot. That's good. That's a sign of being a competitor. I can even understand why he thinks he should take his talents elsewhere. I in no way agree with it, but that's his journey and his choice alone. My opinion means nothing.
I do not agree with people blaming it on his age, however. We can all think of instances when young men were called upon to act and to do things much bigger than themselves in sports and in instances relating to life and death (take a stroll through the Scroll of Honor park. My great uncle's name is there.). This has more do with an individual and with his level of maturity. I appreciated everything he did while he was here, but I think the exit could've been handled more gracefully.
I wish him the best and hope that we as the Clemson family show him grace (as another poster so eloquently put it!) and respect. I also hope he made the right choice.

So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth.
