in 2016 for his Heisman win last night! I think I read that the ballots were only sent out the week of the CCGs this year, whereas in 2016, something like 40% were sent in 3 or 4 weeks earlier.

I think the DW impact is minimal. The argument for DW was that the Heisman should be voted on after bowl games. Voting before conference championship games hasn't changed significantly.

This year 13% voted prior to conference championship (tweet from Andy Staples showing Deloitte's breakout) and 11% last year (Heisman site).

2016 when DW was runner up, the number was 16% and 2015 when DW was 3rd it was 15%.
