Tennessee fans made death threats to TL when he chose Clemson. In an article, his high school head coach, who shielded TL from most of that, said one letter from a Tennessee fan said, “I hope everyone with the last name of Lawrence dies.” Unbelievable!

Given how rapid Bama fans are (Harvey Updike), I was genuinely worried for TL’s safety going into the championship game.
