Again, how this guy was not a Top-10 player nationally and 5-star per every service is more than a bit of a mystery...and it tells you how much weight the recruiting services place on camps and self-promotion.
Ngata's not just a 5-star player, he's a 5-star human with a 5-star work ethic, one of those rare "unicorn" guys that become cornerstone players in your locker room and player culture and that will likely be 10-year NFL guys and perennial Pro Bowlers...and it's amazing how often Clemson seems to land those kind of guys. (There aren't a lot of them!) But just in the last few years alone we've seen Deshaun Watson, Christian Wilkins, Clelin Farrell, Trevor Lawrence (among others)...this guy looks like another of that ilk.
I'll just shake my head. This is assuredly Clemson's Golden Age, and it doesn't look like it's near to being over yet.
