I mean I don't disagree with him. He has an established fan base within the city of Charlotte which is actually a pretty nice city as a whole as well. I wouldn't move my multi billion dollar business without a reason neither.

I hope they stay in Charlotte and take their summer camp somewhere else. They are the North Carolina Panthers.

Sorry, along with the litany of posters expressing reactionary hatred for the Panthers for not picking Clemson guys, this is no reason to hate the Panthers. In my view this along with the idea the Panther organization has an ingrained negative bias against Clemson is simply immature and absurd.
Teams pick players based on their needs and who’s available.

It is very odd, given the high number of Clemson draftees

since the Panthers first season in 1994, that not once, have the Panthers drafted a Clemson player.
I think Richardson had an axe to grind. We will never know the reason, but it is insanely odd to have never drafted even one player.
Never been a Panthers fan, I've always been a Falcon fan after watching the Falcons Train at Furman University as a kid in the early 70's.

I’m a bit surprised too, but I don’t think it’s some sort of conspiracy.
How ‘bout this?
The Panthers have been in the league 25yrs. I think they got additional picks as an expansion team in the first year(s)? but this should work for arguments sake.
Assume 25yrs x 7 picks/draft = 175players picked.
Assume a mean over that span of 116FBS teams(not even including FCS teams).
That means if the Panthers were operating via some sort of “fairness doctrine” and picking evenly among FBS teams, that means 1.5 Tigers would have been taken over that time span. That ignores the team’s actual needs, talent available on the board.
Doesn’t sound quite as preposterous when you frame it that way.

First, there are no poor owners in the NFL. What do you think Arthur Blank is worth? Second, every owner seeks tax incentives to locate the team and associated revenues in a given location. You think the Falcons just built their new stadium out of the goodness of their hearts? If you owned a business and could get favorable tax breaks are you so noble that you would turn them down?
You don't have to like the Panthers and you can like the Falcons. Fine. But trying to act like Tepper is the only rich NFL guy doing this is bogus and if you don't know that, you should.

else's money. His politics are just slightly right of Nancy Pelosi. But like Bernie Sanders he wants everybody ELSE to hand their money over to government while sheltering their own.

To add to that, besides the Falcons the panthers are relatively close to the same market. I don’t dislike the falcons, I just haven’t found a reason to be a fan of them other than Vic Beasley and Grady Jarrett. Quit being unrealistic, before Vic Beasley and Jarret, the Falcons wasn’t jumping all over Clemson players either. As for the whole “North Carolina” panthers analogy, you could use the same analogy “Atlanta” Falcons or “Texas” Cowboys. Neither have anything to do with the state of South Carolina. As I stated before, they’ve been dozens of organizations that don’t historically draft from their state’s or local market schools, so don’t act like the panthers are the only ones.

The Panthers and the SC politicians made a big deal about building the facilities. Now that the owner has decided he’s not going to get enough of a tax break, he’s going to stay in Charlotte. I’m tired of SC whoring itself out to lure these multi-million dollar corporations and a so-called partial SC NFL team. Meanwhile, SC citizens are being highly taxed, and our roads are still s*****.

As a business owner who has moved his factory from NC to SC and got great tax breaks and incentives from SC for doing so, I’m sure the SC legislature will do the right thing and PASS that bill!
The state and county will MAKE a lot of money (taxes) from them coming to SC. The state makes ZERO from them staying in NC.

Don’t bring reason to this type of conversation; people don’t understand what they’re discussing.
People think tax breaks are some type of check from the state or tax payers. It’s a break on the taxes they would be paying; If they don’t come to SC at all we make 0 tax dollars on them. If they come we make thousands in tax dollars; they just won’t be taxed at the standard rate.
Our state has made itself by giving tax breaks as of late to BMW, Boeing, Volvo, Mercedes, ZF, Shimano, and on and on.
Who cares if you like the panthers; it’d be big business for that county and our state.
