Announcers during GA game suggest the time may be coming soon for the younger Justin Fields to take over at QB as had happened at other schools. Although they didn’t mention Clemson by name they clearly were referring to it.

We have heard rumblings that he had been way behind the learning curve with his passing.

It’s obvious the coaches don’t trust him yet

Clemson had Senior vs Freshman, and the problem took care of itself (not in the optimal way, but at least it's behind us.)

UGA has Sophomore vs Freshman.
One of those two isn't gonna be sitting for 3 years.

My main takeaway from the comment was the impression they thought Clemson had made the right move. I found it a little surprising they acknowledged it.
